Workpackages

Standardisation

The last workpackage covers a set of activities aimed at systematizing and transferring the main results of the research. It is expected to produce a white paper based on a set of principles, guidelines and standards for accessibility and interoperability that should be taken into account when designing any technology. It will include a process for identification of the needs for standardising technology devices, and plans for a set of national and European technical standards (UNE-EN), in harmony with research and the technological devices modelled in preceding phases of the project. Finally, a series of guidelines will be devised for development of accessible technology, agreed among the Consortium partners and associations of users with disabilities. An online tutorial will be developed to assist with evaluations. Also this workpackage will produce a set of training and outreach documents about the main results of the project.

Goals

  • Develop a white paper on design of accessible and interoperable technology, to encourage use of different types of technology devices and improve relations with the environment.
  • Make a proposal for different standards to regulate design of accessible technology.
  • Draw up guidelines about accessibility and interoperability requirements for designers of accessible technology and services provided electronically
  • Produce supporting materials and systematisation of the project results, especially in the form of technical manuals, online tutorials and training manuals.
