Workpackages

Human-machine interaction technologies

This workpackage will focus on research into the most innovative features of human-machine interaction technologies. In each technology context it will prioritize research that could lead to a technological leap forward in its subsequent application in different contexts. In particular it will investigate speech recognition technologies, technologies based on psychophysiology, image processing technologies, text processing technologies; emotional technologies, haptic technologies and those based on smart textiles. For each of these technologies there will be a study of the state of the art and specification of possible applications in the scope of the project, and an experimental platform will be developed to validate and verify the technology and carry out user testing.

Goals

  • Analyse the main human-machine interaction technologies that could lead to a leap forward in their application to the project scope.
  • Investigate the most innovative aspects of each technology and carry out verification and validation using an experimental platform.
  • Carry out user tests to verify functioning of the industrial research carried out and to check compliance with accessibility, usability and interoperability criteria.
