Analysis of the technological environment, its evolution and impact

This workpackage will analyse the project's technological environment, taking into account different emerging technologies that may contribute to its development and to establish the state of the art of these technologies. It investigates the phenomenon of converging technologies in the scope of the project and take into account other relevant social considerations in current use of information society technologies. It will also include technology watch throughout the period of execution of the project.

Goals

• Analyse the technological context and identify the current state of the art of emerging technologies applicable to the project context 
• Investigate converging technologies and their possible impact on the project
• Consider different relevant social aspects of technology use.
• Provide a continuing technology watch service.
